If you think life slows down at 50, I’m here to show you otherwise. As a Pilates, Barre, and TRX instructor, mom, wife, daughter, and friend, I’m re-examining what this phase of my life looks like and redefining what “living happy" truly means. I’d love for you to join me on this journey—together, we’ll explore building movement for our future, redefining wellness as we age, and inspiration that will help us fall in love with life all over again.

My Story

I began with degrees in MIS and Management & Marketing, then built a career as a health insurance sales executive. When that left me feeling unfulfilled, I re-invented myself, moved to Boston and dove into the ad agency world as an account director.

Then life pivoted again. I became a wife, a stay-at-home mom, and eventually found my true passion—teaching fitness classes. During COVID I set up LauraEssexLiveHappy.com and began teaching online and blogging. What started as a side hustle quickly turned into my full-time joy. And now, at 58, I’m still exploring, still growing, and still asking, “What’s next?” While I'm not teaching online today, you can find me in-person at Life Time Fitness in New Jersey and I have picked back up where I left off, blogging about life's ups and downs.
